About

Vincent in the Army age 18Vincent Clark is a creative mensa intellectual with a mathematical mind. In his lifelong effort to become a Renaissance man, he developed strong interests in Mathematics, Science, Art, Philosophy, History, English, and Technology.

Secondary School --He became skilled in Amateur Radio and Photography as a teenager. His high school curriculum included both college prep classes and the trades. These beginings allowed him to develop good hand skills for building anything and good study skills for learning anything.

Vincent Testing a TVMilitary--At the age of 18, Vincent joined the Army and learned the Russian Language at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. During his two-year posting in West Berlin, Germany, he completed a correspondence course in Communications Electronics and taught himself physics from a book (with the help of a slide rule).

College-- Vincent attended college on the GI Bill and pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics with a minor in Industrial Technology, Computer Programming and Business—his own invention of a minor. He graduated suma cum laude from Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, North Carolina in 1978.

Industrial Engineer - Vincent relocated a fuel filter assembly line in 1978. He also Vincent age 25 redesigned equipment layout and supervised the startup of the new operation. In 1979 he improved the magnetic function of low carbon steel relay yokes using knowledge he gained from magma chemistry and x-ray crystallography—college Geology electives which interested him. In 1980 he improved copper re-crystallization in Mercury-filled electronic switching relays by applying these same geological principles.

Teacher - Vincent changed careers in the mid 1980's and began teaching mathematics and physics at Spartan College of Aviation. After four years he began tutoring college and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics and Chemistry. His interest in these subjects blossomed and he developed his own teaching techniques.

Various Experiences & Interests - In 1984 Vincent began to experiment with digital electronics while teaching himself mathematics all over again from the beginning. He built a small hybrid digital logic circuit for his son’s Nintendo controller which ran automatically for a full year on one game and won over a million experience points. In 1986 he worked at various jobs and repaired geophones for oil exploration and was able to diagnose and repair problems that the supervisors could not understand. He also invented the MIG welding parameters for assembling stainless steel wire holders for refractory bricks and built hundreds of units.

Computer Programming--Vincent studied for his Land Surveyor’s license exam in 1995 by writing a Vincent the Teacher age 31 software package for the HP48GX calculator that would identify all the variables, sort a system of equations based on the known variables and solve for all the unknowns in sequence. This program was called Universal Equation Solver. He also invented a Custom Units Wizard and began to write a Universal Clock Calendar program. These programs and his Base Converter program provide Galactic computing power for business, science, engineering, and other disciplines and allow cross-cultural commerce with applications in Archeology and Anthropology. All this programming work has been abandoned, awaiting an opportunity to learn a more appropriate programming language.

Civil Designer-Vincent has worked continuously for twelve years in the Land Surveying and Civil Engineering field as a Computer Technician and Civil CAD Designer. He developed his own techniques for processing data, creating topographic surfaces, and other computer related processes. When new software became available, Vincent jumped in and mastered it without formal training. Currently Vincent is master of Autodesk Civil 3D and is beginning to master HydroCAD.

Information Technology--Vincent's varied background and experience allow him to Vincent - Summer of 2006quickly adapt to changing conditions, evaluate problems and implement inventive solutions. He continues to study and learn new software applications and is developing skills in Information Technology. He currently maintains a home wireless network and several websites for his brothers, sisters, and wife.

In his own words: I was helping my sister with her website www.spdconnection.com four years ago as a favor. I used Dreamweaver to edit my web pages and learned some HTML code and was able to splice in snippets for special effects from www.dynamicdrive.com.

I wanted to begin a home-based business and began freelance technical writing for the software industry. I wrote a help file and began to provide telephone technical support. I beta tested the software and sent up many bug reports and suggestions for new features. I realized that teaching people how to use software was important for continued customer satisfaction. Also, I learned to use two different flash video software packages and began creating a few demonstrations to help answer specific questions put by customers.

Since I have a knack for learning new software and for writing about and demonstrating it, I decided to assemble a package of specialized services for developers which would promote the consumer experience while learning new software.
