Project Specific Sheet Template

When you set up the sheet set manager for a new project, you designate a template dwg for new sheet creation.  If you plan ahead, and copy the standard template to ../ACAD/(project number)/dwg/, then you will be able to pre-select many of the repetitive items that normally go into setting up each sheet.  When you create a new sheet, you are ready to add information specific to that sheet and not have to add information that is common to most plan sheets.
  1. Vicinity map as a named view placed on the sheet
  2. Site viewport scaled and oriented to a standard dview
  3. Model space snap angle so ortho setting provides horizontal text and lines
  4. North arrow oriented to Site viewport
  5. Barscale preset to viewport scale
  6. Site Development data as a named view placed on the sheet
  7. Site data as a named view placed on the sheet

Because you have the template in the dwg folder of the project, and you save sheets to that same folder, all x-refs from the template translate directly over and do not need any additional work when you begin working in the new sheet. Hunt Hill Place (project number 107103) was set up in this manner.
